Be Strong In The Lord

Join us for this 24-session blog series (taken from A Journey into 3-C Christian Discipleship), as we explore the themes surrounding Christian warfare. Sadly, over the centuries, we Christ-followers have used this biblical theme to do some pretty horrible stuff to others, all in the name of our God.

Over the next few weeks, we are going to explore the way Jesus of Nazareth dealt with the issues of warfare. Without a doubt, our Lord understood that life down here on planet earth can be a battle. But just as He does with other earthly problems, the Master brings some fresh, new answers that often surprise and contradict the status quo. Join us as we look at ‘the battle’ that rages around us each day, explore how Jesus handles it, and then we’ll unpack Paul’s words to the Ephesian church that offer us six amazing tools that are issued to Christ-followers, weapons of our warfare that come directly from the hands of God the Father, through the Son, and by the empowering work of the Holy Spirit.

Below, you will find a complete list of all the posts (24 blogs) of this series. We suggest that you bookmark this home page for ease of use. Enjoy!

Each one of our blog studies can serve you well as a support piece in your devotional life with Jesus. As you’ll see when you open up one of our pages, each blog begins with a short scripture or reading, some thoughts to consider, and then concludes with a prayer and a question or two for you to ponder. Go slow. Walk at your own pace, inviting the Holy Spirit to join with you as you read and reflect.
